Jett, Baylor, and Morgan

So many of my close friends have had babies lately, and that's wonderful because it means 2 things:  I could give them a special gift for their nurseries AND love on these sweet little ones!!

Christl asked me to paint some letters for Jett's nursery and while I have never attempted this before, I was definitely up for the challenge.  I have to say I love how they turned out, and they look so precious hanging over his crib!

Baylor's mommy, Rachel, decorated a nursery of aqua and orange chevron for this little guy!  It's so precious and trendy at the same time.  I love the chevron pattern which means I love this canvas too!

And finally, Shelley asked me to paint a canvas for sweet baby Morgan to match her Pottery Barn bedding.  I love this canvas--it's fun and colorful. And for Shelley's birthday, her husband Barret, secretly had me paint smaller ones to match it!!!

One for Oasis

Oasis is an event for the ladies at our church during the summer where there is fellowship and a speaker.  The cool thing about going is that they have prize giveaways--what girl wouldn't want a fun, little prize to walk out of the door with?  This year, I told M that I would paint a canvas for the giveaway, and I love how it turned out!  Might be painting one for my house!!!

Mary Wallace's canvas

Sweet Mary Wallace wanted a canvas to go over her bed just like her brother!  She waited so patiently while I painted this, but now she will have her own song to make up for the verse she chose.  Yes, she chose her verse, and I think that is so special!

Lucy's Canvas

This canvas was painted for little Lucy.  It matches her big sister Caroline's canvas (with some slight differences) so they can not only learn the Scripture that their parents pray over them but also so they have matching canvases for a room they may share one day!

One for Watson

Watson is the son of some friends of ours from Sunday school.  He just turned 5!  And since I never painted a canvas for his nursery, here is one for his big boy Spiderman room!

What's New

I haven't posted in quite some time but since my last post I've painted two additional canvases and my first ever bow holder.   I think the bow holder turned out pretty well!  Here is the top portion--the bottom just had an additional initial at the bottom of the ribbon.

The bow holder was a gift I had made for Baby Kinley's shower but her mommy also asked me to paint a canvas for her sweet nursery!

Canvas Re-do

If you saw the last post, you will remember the canvas that I painted for Maddie's nursery with the verse 1 Samuel 1:27 which says, "I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him."  I love this verse because I did pray for Maddie and she has been such a blessing.  Here is the canvas just in case:

What you don't know about this canvas is that I was extremely pregnant and uncomfortable while painting it.  Because of this, my perfectionist nature was a bit lacking, and I didn't care so much about touching up the little things that I would normally fix on anyone else's canvas.  So I hung it up!  Little do you know that to this day, this is my least favorite of ALL the canvases I've painted.

Fast forward to Baby girl #2 which has the same bedding that Maddie had as a baby.  My initial thought was to paint another one for the nursery, but after doing one for Maddie's big girl room (BGR), decided that I would wait to paint Peyton one for her BGR since this one is not personalized with a name.  However, I did decide that I would re-do the center, shorten the verse, and use a fancy new curlz font (new to me in that I haven't been painting it long).  So, this is what I ended up with:

Ta da...much better!!
